Increasing System Performance

For systems which have over 512mb of RAM available (most PCs do these days) you can drastically increase system performance

1. Start > Run type regedit
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\DisablePagingExecutive
3. Double Click ‘DisablePagingExecutive’
4. Change the value to 1
5. Reboot your PC for the effects to take place
